Contractors are responsible for reporting accurate and complete sales data. Occasionally errors in reported sales are recognized, and the Adjusting Sales Data feature allows Contractors to modify reported data to ensure their reports are accurate.
You can adjust data using all forms of reporting methods discussed in the Report Data section. You can update data within a report by form entry, or you can adjust data by uploading a new file. Similar to adjusting by File upload, the FAS Sales Reporting Portal also allows data adjustment by API web services and EDI. When adjusting data, you must provide a justification for adjusting the data.
Making sales adjustments will affect fees due. If additional fees are due, consult the Fee Payment section to remit any additional fees due.
